This historical home belonged to the Tredwell family in the 19th century. The home was the birth place Gertude Tredwell, Samuel Tredwell's eighth child. She lived her whole life in the house and some say she continues to occupy it in her afterlife.
The paranormal activity reported in the house has gained notoriety in recent years. Gertude's spirit has been reported to wander listlessly in her bedroom and occasionally triggers the servant's bells.
The historic house bridges the past to the present with the preservation of the Tredwell family's personal collection of furniture and decor. The Merchant's House Museum is a family friendly attraction that offers a variety of tours and annual events, including an exclusive 50 minuet candlelight ghost tour to thrill paranormal adventurers!
